The Feldenkrais Method

Supported by the latest neuro-science, the Feldenkrais Method is a gentle yet powerful method of changing the way your brain coordinates movement and posture. Free yourself from old habits, relieve pain and tension and discover a surprising degree of ease you have not known for years.

This method was named after it’s inventor, Dr Moshe Feldenkrais who was an Israeli judo master and internationally renowned physicist and educator.

Practitioners have participated in at 3 to 4 years of professional training.

At Free2Move, all our Physiotherapists are also qualified Feldenkrais Practitioners. We may draw on our knowledge and experience of Feldenkrais when choosing treatment to that addresses your signs, symptoms and medical diagnoses. Aspects of the treatment we provide may be based on the Feldenkrais Method. 
How this works is that we start with a thorough assessment. We then help you to identify movement and posture habits which may be contributing to your presenting problems. Taking into account your specific movement goals, we support you in learning more efficient and functional movement patterns that won’t aggravate pain or cause excessive muscle tension.
