In this video you’ll explore a series of gentle movements based on the Feldenkrais Method to help release jaw pain and neck tension., headaches, teeth clenching and teeth grinding (bruxism).
The first step in changing habitual patterns of tension is to become more aware of them. After doing this lesson you might start to become aware of times when you are clenching your teeth, a pattern that often goes along with holding your breath.
Feldenkrais is very relaxing, however it is not really a relaxation technique! It’s a process of creating a more detailed ‘brain map’ of your body, so that you can become more precise with your movements. This enables you to move more freely and easily – maximum efficiency for minimal effort.

SUGGESTIONS: First watch the video right through, imagining yourself doing the movements. Then lie down on the floor, close your eyes, get comfortable and listen to the video, following the prompts without looking at the images. Pause the video any time to give yourself more time to explore any movements you find enjoyable, difficult or interesting.
PLEASE REMEMBER: Listen to your body and don’t do anything that doesn’t feel comfortable for you.This is an intermediate level exercise.
